Scottish clans are often talked about as historical relics, something your ancestors might have belonged to, but just about everyone with Scottish heritage still belongs to a clan, whether they realize it or not. Some clans are still very active both online and off, involved not only in research on their past but in community service and building the future of Scotland. One of the best ways for you to get to know your clan is to attend a clan gathering, a (usually annual) meeting of both domestic and international members.
